Melissa joined the Hoffmann Murtaugh team in April 2020 as a Communications and Account Manager. Earning a promotion, she transitioned to the Strategic Communications & Content Supervisor in the fall of 2022 where she dually manages key client accounts and oversees a team of people who offer services in our P+ suite of capabilities.
Melissa’s unwavering passion is helping clients find a compelling story, craft the narrative, and create a connection with their audiences to ultimately tell their stories in engaging ways to cultivate and maintain relationships. Melissa and her team have a comprehensive understanding of media channels, encompassing paid, earned, shared, and owned media—commonly referred to as P+ESO within Hoffmann Murtaugh. In her capacity, Melissa collaborates with clients to identify challenges and opportunities across these channels, formulating strategic plans that harmonize their efforts, ultimately enabling them to convey their brand story seamlessly!
In addition, Melissa guides a team of experts, ensuring the successful execution of every project, campaign, and strategic initiative. Her expertise spans integrated marketing campaigns, brand management strategies, content marketing, and public relations. She is deeply committed to empowering clients not just as advertisers but as skilled storytellers in their own right.
Before her time at Hoffmann Murtaugh, Melissa spent much of her career in the amusement and entertainment industry wearing many hats including Marketing, Communications, Promotions, Special Events, Sales, Community Relations, Customer Service, etc. She began in the public relations department at Kennywood Park, progressively advancing to the Marketing and Communications Director at Kennywood’s sister park, Sandcastle Waterpark. Subsequently, she expanded her career by serving as the Client and Communications Manager for a prominent design-build company in Pittsburgh, where she adeptly managed projects and relationships with clients, vendors, contractors, and partners.
