The Hoffmann Murtaugh media team has collective experience that spans various industries and media disciplines, with expertise in a wide array of targets, markets, product lines, and campaigns for national and local clients alike. We know how to navigate the competitive and fragmented media landscape and we have the team, experience, and tools in place to ensure success.
As founder and president of Hoffmann Murtaugh, Shea’s leadership has steered the agency to become one of the fastest growing integrated marketing agencies in Pittsburgh. In her role, Shea leads the agency’s strategic vision, operational efficiencies, key client relationships, and new business outreach. Throughout her career, Shea’s guiding principal has been to deliver actionable results that maximize her clients’ budget. Shea’s media career began in broadcast sales, and when she realized that she could do more to help clients, she founded Hoffmann Murtaugh in 2004. In 2019, Shea expanded the agency’s network by adding an office in Cleveland.
Outside of work, Shea is involved with several high-profile non-profit organizations in the city and in her residence of Sewickley including the Pittsburgh Film Office Board, Sewickley Planning Commission, Child Health Association of Sewickley, and the Animal Care Assistance Fund. Shea is also a member of the Women’s President Organization. A graduate of Duquesne University, Shea and her husband, Jim, reside in Sewickley, PA with their two wiener dogs, Rueben and Brutus.
Associate Media Director
Jessica is a media triple threat with a background in research, planning, and buying. Experience on both the sales and agency sides gives her a full perspective that benefits her clients through the entire media process — from initial research, through strategy, execution, and post-buy analysis. Prior to joining Hoffmann Murtaugh, Jessica worked at CBS and ABC affiliate stations, as well as Yellow Submarine Marketing and MARC USA on the PA Lottery, Rite Aid, Cedar Fair Amusement Parks, and True Value accounts. Jessica seems to have no shortage of energy, despite being a mom to Theo, Cora, Tessa and Eden with husband, Phil.
Associate Media Director
Aimee combines her agency background with over six years of data analysis to provide strategy and insight to Hoffmann Murtaugh clients. Aimee worked at MARC USA and Nielsen prior to joining Hoffmann Murtaugh. While at Nielsen, Aimee consulted with CPG brands at GlaxoSmithKline to analyze sales data, purchase behavior, and consumer demographics. Aimee’s ability to turn data into meaningful insights helped provide direction for successful GSK brands including Sensodyne, Biotene, and Polident. Aimee is an Excel and formatting wiz, but her proudest accomplishment is being mom to her son, Grady, with husband, Terry.
Associate Director of Digital Media and Analytics
As Associate Director of Digital Media & Analytics, Jennifer guides clients through the evolving digital landscape. As a digital media thought leader, Jennifer works closely with various digital partners on beta testing and has collaborated to bring Hoffmann Murtaugh’s clients many first-to-market opportunities. A sought-out industry expert, Jennifer got her media start working on the General Mills account at ZenithOptimedia in NYC, where she developed media plans for brands such as Cheerios, Yoplait, and Lucky Charms. Jennifer also worked at Mullen on both national and regional brands including First Commonwealth Bank, Robert Morris University, Tommee Tippee, Magellan GPS, Constant Contact, FAGE, and the University of Miami. Outside of the office, Jennifer uses her creativity in the kitchen. She loves to bake, and happily shares her creations – much to the benefit of her friends and coworkers.
Media Account Supervisor
Johanna’s experience spans locally and regionally across all media targets and types, from strategy to execution. Johanna brings a wealth of healthcare and health system knowledge, driven by her time leading media planning and strategy for Highmark and UPMC. Her industry experience expands to also include automotive, financial, retail, amusement, and non-profit. A combination of informed strategy and creative thinking are key to her clients’ smart and innovative media plans. Johanna oversees Hoffmann Murtaugh’s client service, processes, and procedures. Johanna, her husband, Chris, son Benny, and their dog Gus, all reside in the Mexican War Streets in Pittsburgh’s North Side, where she spends most of her time in parks watching Benny, Gus or The Pirates play.
Media Buying Supervisor
Melissa oversees the Hoffmann Murtaugh Audio/Video Buying department. Melissa got her start in media at Yellow Submarine Marketing as the agency’s traffic manager and was awarded the Media Association of Pittsburgh’s Best Traffic Department honor. Her enthusiasm for broadcast led her to buying and, prior to joining Hoffmann Murtaugh, she worked on Cedar Fair Amusement Parks. With buying experience and relationships in DMAs all across the US, Melissa helps provide Hoffmann Murtaugh clients with unprecedented rate and added value negotiations. Melissa is a market leader in the fusion of traditional broadcast with streaming audio and video. She has a passion for making good things great– at work, through multiple rounds of media negotiations and at home, by restoring old houses. Melissa lives in one of her current restoration projects with her husband, Tim, their two daughters, Mila and Laena, and an energetic dog named Ringo – who is truly hungry for life and all things inedible.
Associate Director, Social Media & Public Relations
A strategic communications professional with 10+ years of experience, Brandi has managed several award-winning public relations and social media campaigns on behalf of well-known brands. Brandi specializes in leading the integrated planning and execution of brand management strategies designed to generate both consumer awareness and digital engagement. She has developed relationships with a variety of media outlets and secured placements in outlets such as The Today Show, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, KDKA, and multiple women’s magazines like Elle, Glamour, Shape, Parenting, and Allure. Throughout her career, Brandi has served clients such as Nestle, Kellogg’s, J.M. Smucker Company, Kimberly-Clark, Jim Beam, ConAgra, White Wave Foods, and Primanti Bros., while working at Ketchum Public Relations and Smith Brothers Agency. After living in Chicago for a number of years, Brandi returned to her hometown of Pittsburgh. She holds a B.S. in Public Relations with a second concentration in Sport Management from West Virginia University.
Adele leads the Hoffmann Murtaugh finance team. She brings more than 25 years of experience from both the media and agency side – spending 20 years of her career as the Vice President and Treasurer at Sheridan Broadcasting. Adele then moved over to Hearst Television (WTAE) as Controller. Most recently she was the Finance Manager at Brunner.
A graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Adele has one daughter, a beloved collie, and is an active member of the Churchill community.
