The Hoffmann Murtaugh media team has collective experience that spans various industries and media disciplines, with expertise in a wide array of targets, markets, product lines, and campaigns for national and local clients alike. We know how to navigate the competitive and fragmented media landscape and we have the team, experience, and tools in place to ensure success.
As the founder and president of Hoffmann Murtaugh, Shea has built the largest media only agency in Pittsburgh. With no capital or agency experience, Shea started the company in 2004 and is now one of the fastest growing integrated marketing agencies in the city today. Shea not only leads the agency’s strategic vision, but also oversees key client relationships and business development.
Shea’s media career began in broadcast sales where she realized that she could do more to help clients, so she founded Hoffmann Murtaugh. Throughout her career, Shea’s philosophy has been to deliver actionable results that maximize her clients’ budget, while creating a true partnership with them. That philosophy has continually helped her to expand the company, most recently adding offices in both Cleveland, OH and Rochester, NY.
Outside of work, Shea owns a commercial real estate business, Virtual Real Estate and a property management company, WorkLive and is currently working on a downtown Pittsburgh mixed use project that will house condos with a shareable office space that condo residents can work and live in the same place. Shea is involved with several non-profit organizations in the city and in her residence of Sewickley including the Pittsburgh Film Office Board, FBI Citizens Academy, Sewickley Planning Commission, Child Health Association of Sewickley, Pittsburgh Regional Innovative Council, and the Animal Care Assistance Fund. Shea is also a member of the Women’s President Organization. A graduate of Duquesne University, Shea and her husband, Jim, reside in Sewickley, PA with their three rescued wiener dogs, Rueben, Brutus and Oliver.
Aimee combines her agency background with extensive experience in data analysis to provide strategy and insight to Hoffmann Murtaugh clients. Aimee worked at MARC USA and Nielsen prior to joining Hoffmann Murtaugh. While at Nielsen, Aimee consulted with CPG brands at GlaxoSmithKline to analyze sales data, purchase behavior, and consumer demographics. Aimee is passionate about turning media and client data into meaningful insights to reveal opportunities to support brand growth. Aimee is an Excel and formatting wiz, but her proudest accomplishment is being mom to her son, Grady, with husband, Terry.
Associate Media Director
Jessica is a media triple threat with a background in research, planning, and buying. Experience on both the sales and agency sides gives her a full perspective that benefits her clients through the entire media process — from initial research, through strategy, execution, and post-buy analysis. Prior to joining Hoffmann Murtaugh, Jessica worked at CBS and ABC affiliate stations, as well as Yellow Submarine Marketing and MARC USA on the PA Lottery, Rite Aid, Cedar Fair Amusement Parks, and True Value accounts. Jessica seems to have no shortage of energy, despite being a mom to Theo, Cora, Tessa and Eden with husband, Phil.
Associate Director of Digital Media and Analytics
As the Associate Director of Digital Media and Analytics, Katie is responsible for implementing digital marketing strategies and analyzing the performance of campaigns. Having a strong analytical background, Katie guides clients through the changing digital landscape by helping them determine the most efficient ways to maximize their budget. Katie brings a client-first mindset to each project. Prior to joining Hoffmann Murtaugh, Katie worked at Dick’s Sporting Goods where she managed a team of digital experts focused on creating and executing top-performing media plans. Katie started her career at a Pittsburgh advertising agency where she was the digital media manager for B2B and education clients. Outside of work, Katie enjoys coaching youth sports, playing volleyball, and spending time with her husband, Mike, and three daughters, Kamryn, Madison, and Braelyn.
Associate Director of Media Activation
As the Associate Director of Media Activation, Melissa takes our integrated team strategies and brings them to life. Melissa got her start in media over a decade ago at Yellow Submarine Marketing working on Cedar Fair Amusement Parks. Since then, her expertise has benefited a roster of diverse clients that specialize in banking, heath care, education, legal services and more. With digital and traditional buying experience in DMAs across the US, Melissa has used her data savvy approach to merge the two spaces and execute cross-channel tactics, whether they’re programmatic, display, streaming video/audio, paid social, terrestrial, SEM, or broadcast. As the linear/digital landscape evolves, Melissa keeps the team organized and focuses on efficient yet client-friendly deliverables to ensure our insights are clear and the path forward is always outlined. She has a passion for making good things great– at work, through multiple rounds of media negotiations and at home, by restoring old houses. Melissa lives in one of her current restoration projects with her husband, Tim, their two daughters, Mila and Laena, and an energetic dog named Ringo – who is truly hungry for life and all things inedible.
Associate Media Director
Jill is a marketing professional with a deep love for media. She has proven experience in direct marketing, brand activation and media mix attribution. Jill enjoys showing how print, outdoor and traditional video can work with digital media to create integrated campaigns that not only bring brand awareness but also increase response for her clients. She is able to offer a unique 360 view of the media landscape having worked on the client (Citi, Discover), Agency (Butler/Till, Sigma Marketing) and vendor (Concentrix) sides of media activations. Jill is based in Rochester, NY and is passionate about community service, serving on the board of the Volunteers of America Upstate NY chapter. When not working, Jill can be found snuggling her three dogs (Alfie, Ryan and Peyton) or at a hockey game with her family.
Adele leads the Hoffmann Murtaugh finance team. She brings more than 25 years of experience from both the media and agency side – spending 20 years of her career as the Vice President and Treasurer at Sheridan Broadcasting. Adele then moved over to Hearst Television (WTAE) as Controller. Most recently she was the Finance Manager at Brunner.
A graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Adele has one daughter, a beloved collie, and is an active member of the Churchill community.
Kendra has diverse experience in advertising. She has been on both the agency and sales side, as well as being the client. Prior to working at HM, Kendra was Broadcast Supervisor at Dick’s Sporting Goods, where she managed a team responsible for all national and local broadcast campaigns and sponsorships. Her diverse experience includes Paid Media & Brand Manager at MedExpress, Media Supervisor at Yellow Submarine Marketing, and Research Analyst at WPXI. These positions highlight some of her diverse experience.
A graduate of West Virginia University, Kendra resides in Dormont with her husband, Mike.
